Study: Total Immersion Program

  • Placement test upon arrival
  • Class 5 hours/day, 5 days/week
  • 100 hours of classroom instruction (in small classes <15)
  • Prerequisites: a) Must be 18 years of age, b) Must have completed Spanish 101 or higher with a C or better; or be a native speaker of Spanish; or have program permission.

Stay: Home stay with Mexican family in Guadalajara (double or single occupancy); Hotel Stay in Puerto Vallarta (double occupancy)

  • All homes within 20 min. walking distance from school
  • 3 meals/day
  • Free WiFi
  • Located across the street from CEPE school

Total Cost: Approx. $3,500, includes:

  • University of Guadalajara study program in Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta
  • Accomodations in Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta
  • Ground transportation from Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta
  • Optional volunteer program in Guadalajara
  • Airfare Grand Rapids to Guadalajara; Puerto Vallarta to Grand Rapids~ $700
  • Meals during last week in Puerto Vallarta ~$150
  • MCC tuition 4 credit hours ($350-$575 depending on residency)
  • Passport and medical insurance purchased in USA
  • Optional activities: Day trips, excursions, fun classes, etc.
